What on Earth is going on??

Okay, so the folks are coming in from Texas and I think they are bringing the heat with them!! Yesterday, it got up to 87 degrees here!! Today, it's going to be 85!!! What's going on??!! My parents finally get to come out and enjoy our awesome weather and it's the hottest week of the year??? It won't get back down below 80 until Saturday!! Then, of course NEXT week it will be back to normal temps --- highs in the mid 70s!!

Now, I know many of you have been melting for months and are probably thinking "Stop your whining, you little sissy!". But remember....no A/C!!

Awesome day!!

I have been drooling over the new Janome Horizon sewing machine (with it's 11 inches of bed space) for several months now.  Today, my husband ordered me one!!  I couldn't believe it!!  I am so excited about getting it.  I have been watching video clips of all the different feet this evening!!

I will post pics of the actual machine when I get it!!!

On a scale of 1 to 10, how awesome is that??

Okay, so I'm wandering around my local Joann's fabrics today and I overhear the cashier asking this young girl if she has any coupons on her phone!! Hold the phone!!! Coupons on your iPhone??? Middle-aged people like coupons too!! Needless to say, I proceeded to eavesdrop as the cashier told the girl what to do to get the coupons on her phone.  Turns out there is a free JoAnn's app for the iPhone that let's you download various coupons and save them in the "wallet" on your phone!!! Within seconds I had pulled up three coupons, one of which saved me 50% on this awesome book!!

So again, I ask you...how awesome is that??

Things are Coming Together

Okay, things are coming together with my blog.  I finally figured out how to post links to some of my favorite webpages!  My next step is to figure out how to replace the words for those links with thumbnails.  I think that would really clean things up and make the whole page easier to follow.

What an awesome find!!

Anyone ever heard of a craft store called "Beverly's"???  I hadn't either.  I don't know if it's a chain or what, but I went in there the other day (it's about 5 minutes from my house) because the sign on the store claimed they sold fabric.  I figured it was like a "Michael's" thing or something and I would go in and find those pre-folded/packaged fat quarters or something.  I couldn't have been more wrong!!!

I was amazed to find row after row after row of fabric at the back of the store!!  Including an entire row of batiks (my fav) and another row of Kona solids!!!  They even have Gutterman thread and quilting notions!!!  It was like Christmas for me!!!! 

I even found some Dr. Seuss Christmas fabric (Grinch) that I think I will make a Christmas Tree Skirt out of (if I can find a pattern that I like).  I will post a pic of the fabric later when I can get my camera to work!!!
